Travelling to Whitby?
Historic Abbeys, some of the finest fish and chips in the country and the place where Bram Stoker is said to have come up with the idea for Dracula – these are just a few of the things that make Whitby arguably one of the best places to visit in the North East of England.
There’s plenty to see and do here, whether you’re a local who was born and bred in the area or one of the many tourists who flock to this pretty seaside town. Visit the bustling harbour, the historic abbey or the scenic lighthouse. History lovers have a plethora of museums to visit too.
Arriva offer plenty of ways to get around Whitby, from long-distance bus routes that travel as far afield as Scarborough and Teesside to the more local bus routes. These travel in and out of the town centre, over the moors to Middlesbrough or simply to Eskdale and Sleights.
