Arriva in the North East

Remembering our forgotten heroes

08 November 17

Following the success of last years ‘Poppy Bus’ in Newcastle Arriva North East and Yorkshire have rolled out eleven further ‘Poppy Buses’, one for each of the company’s twelve depots across the region.  These buses will operate on popular Arriva routes to celebrate Remembrance Sunday 2017 and as a mark of respect for the sacrifices made by service men and women both past and present.

The bespoke vehicles feature giant poppies and dedicated artwork supporting the British Legion emblazed on both the outside and the inside of  the bus. These custom vehicles have been created with the support and in conjunction with Logoshack and Exterion. Onboard Poppies will be made available to customers from Wednesday 1st November.

Nigel Featham, Regional Managing Director for Arriva North East and Yorkshire said: “We are proud to be supporting the Royal British Legion and helping to commemorate the fallen. We would like to encourage our customers to hop on board our Poppy Buses and lend their support to this great cause.”

Over the course of two weeks  Arriva’s twelve ‘Poppy Buses’ will cover over 42,000 miles with their visibility to customers all over the region helping to raise awareness for a fantastic cause.
