If you receive subsidised travel from New College Durham you will receive your new Connect Card through the post before the beginning of the term.
Your travel to and from New College Durham will be subsidised by the college. This is valid term time only, Monday to Friday. You can, however, upgrade your Connect card and travel anytime across the North East with Arriva!
Travel evenings, weekends and during all holidays for only 35p a day!
Simply top up your Arriva Connect Card and travel anytime throughout the North East up until 31st August 2019.
What do I need to do to upgrade?
To upgrade your Connect card to travel anytime you can either:
- Set up a monthly direct debit payment online for only £13 per month (over 10 months) click here

Don't Qualify for Subsidised Travel?
If you don't qualify for subsidised travel through New College Durham, you can still spread the cost of the Academic Year or the Annual ticket by paying monthly Direct Debit.
Day and weekly can be bought on bus, online via Debit/Credit card/Paypal or via the m-ticket App.
15 weeks, Academic or Annual can be bought online via Debit/Credit card/Paypal via the m-ticket App.

Lost My Card
If your Connect card is lost please inform the Arriva Student Department immediately. Your current card will be cancelled completely and Arriva will send a replacement card. There is a replacement fee of £5 payable directly to Arriva.* Payment is accepted using Debit or Credit card only.

*Only one pass will be replaced within the Academic year.
If you leave the college
If you leave New College Durham within the Academic year and have received a Connect card through subsidised travel, your card will be deactivated and will no longer be valid.
Misuse of the Connect Card
YourConnect Card will be deactivated immediately if there is any misuse.
