Tour de Yorkshire 2018 Bus Information
Tour de Yorkshire
Saturday 5th May 2018
Due to the annual Tour de Yorkshire cycling race, there will be some disruption to the following services owing to road closures.
Service X26/X27 Richmond Market Place
Richmond is the start of Stage 3 of the 2018 Tour de Yorkshire and as a result, the market place will be closed to all traffic on Saturday 5th May until around 13:45.
In addition, rolling road closures will take place between Richmond and Catterick, the times of which are unknown but will likely be relatively short in duration.
Service X26 and X27 will see minor disruption due to this event, with buses unable to serve Richmond Market Place until mid-afternoon. A temporary stop will be in place on Queens Road, opposite the Ralph Fitz Randal and will be observed by services operating in both directions.
Some delays will also be inevitable due to rolling road closures in the area once the race starts, however we will be working hard to ensure there are no gaps in service wherever possible.
Heading to Richmond to see the start?
Catch Service X26 or X27 from Darlington, up to every 20 minutes. Unlimited travel all day for only £8 Adult, £5 Child or £13.50 for a Family*.
Service X93 Scalby & Scarborough Town Centre
Between 16:45 and 18:00, delays should be anticipated on Service X93 in and around Scarborough and Scalby areas, due to the final section of Stage 3 of the 2018 Tour de Yorkshire.
Temporary rolling road closures will be in place at Scalby preventing vehicular movement north to south on the A171, when the race is due through the area. In addition, parts of Scarborough Town Centre will be closed completely to allow for the race finish to be erected and made safe.
Plans are in place to allow Service X93 to terminate at Scarborough Rail Station without needing to use roads that are likely to be affected, however passengers should be aware that residual traffic in the area is highly likely to cause delay and we will be working hard to ensure that there are no gaps in service wherever possible.
