Enjoy big savings just in time for Christmas!
We are pleased to announce that from 29th October the Durham District Fare Zone is being extended to South & East of Durham resulting in better value fares for our customers.
The extension means that the Durham District fares zone will now include Ferryhill, Chilton, Rushyford, Redworth, Sedgefield, Thornley, Wheatley Hill, Trimdon Village, Deaf Hill, Shadforth and Ludworth. This means big savings for customers in these places travelling within the Durham District zone. For example, the cost of a weekly ticket will come down from £25 to £18.20 and the price of a one-day ticket from Ferryhill to Durham will reduce from £7 to £6.50.
Customers who buy weekly Durham District tickets could save over £50 between now and Christmas!
At the same time, the Peterlee fare zone will now cover Haswell (Village and Plough), while the Bishop Auckland zone will extend to Redworth. For example, the price of a weekly ticket will be £17 instead of £25 and a one-day ticket from Haswell to Peterlee will be £4 instead of £7. Customers travelling from Redworth to Bishop Auckland (or anywhere else in the Bishop Auckland zone) will be able to buy a weekly ticket for £14.50 instead of £25 or a one-day ticket for £4.50 instead of £7.
