Travelling around Telford
A bustling town centre with plenty of parkland and loads of transport links into nearby Birmingham, Telford has a lot going for it. While it might not have the frantic buzz of Brum, it more than makes up for this with its outdoor landmarks and scenic location along the River Severn.
Those into action-packed activities will find plenty to keep them entertained in Telford. There’s an ice rink, four public swimming pools, bowling, bingo, dry ski slopes and that’s just to name but a few! If you’re bored in Telford, then you’re simply not trying hard enough!
With regular trains to Birmingham and Manchester, getting to and from here is a piece of cake. And getting around the town itself couldn’t be easier, thanks to the Arriva bus service. You can also travel to Shrewsbury, Wolverhampton and Bridgnorth on one of the regular Arriva bus routes.
Latest Service Updates
From 30th November 2019 we will be making some minor changes to services in Telford.
Due to major Severn Trent Water works taking place, Waterloo Street in Ironbridge will be closed to all traffic from Monday 30th September until Friday 22nd November 2019 (unless the road is re-opened sooner). This road closure will affect Arriva routes 8 and 18, as well as route 894 to William Brookes School.
