Travelling around Lichfield
The cathedral city of Lichfield is famed for its three spires, but there are many more reasons to take the time to visit here. It is located in the heart of Staffordshire, surrounded by rolling countryside and with the bustle of Birmingham just 16 miles to the south.
The centre of the city has a rich history combined with a modern and vibrant feel. It is packed with independent shops, places to eat and drink and stunning buildings of genuine architectural interest. It’s small enough to explore on foot and expert guided tours can be booked via the Tourist Information Centre.
Lichfield has excellent road and rail links, with the M6 toll road being just a few minutes away. Arriva buses run throughout the local area and on to places of interest, such as Tamworth, Cannock and Stafford.
