Travelling around Hednesford
Located in the heart of England, Hednesford can be found in the county of Staffordshire. It’s an area that’s steeped in local history, stretching back hundreds of years. This once thriving mining town is surrounded by beautiful scenery, due to it being in the Cannock Chase District.
Provided with excellent transport links, you’ll be able to travel around Hednesford with ease. Our Arriva bus services run on a regular basis, meaning you can travel further afield if you like. Routes include services to Rugeley, Cannock, Walsall and Lichfield, among others along the way.
The area has plenty of things to do and see. Hednesford town centre offers a wide range of nationally known, independent retailers, as well as many places to both eat and drink, making it the ideal place for a great night out.
The area adjoins Cannock Chase to the north. This is a stunning, sprawling area of countryside, which has been designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. A former royal forest, it’s home to a wide range of fauna, flora and wildlife, and has a hugely popular walking and biking trail. The forest has also been used as an open-air music venue since 2006, as part of the nationwide Forest Tour.
