Prom Goers Arrive in Single-decked Style

01 July 19

Prom

Arriva Derby helped a group of pupils from Lees Brook Community School, on Morely Road, travel to their prom in style last week, by setting on their very own bus to take them from A to B.

Shunning the usual limos and sports cars often favoured for such events, the youngsters travelled in luxury on their private single decked bus as they headed to their glamourous shindig at Derby’s Pride Park Stadium on 21st June.

Driven by Chris Neale, proud father of Natasha Neale, one of the VIPs (Very Important Passengers), the bus provided the perfect way for the students to prep for the party as they kicked back and relaxed on the vehicle’s E-leather seating, and enjoyed some free WiFi.

Raj Chander, General Manager at Arriva Derby, said: “When Chris asked me if he could possibly drive his daughter and her friends to their school-leavers prom on one of our buses, I couldn’t refuse. It’s brilliant that amidst the glitz and sparkle of an event like this, people are proud and happy to turn up on one our buses. It just goes to show that we’ve come a long way with improving the look and feel of our vehicles – and now they are clearly fit for even the most special occasion. I really hope everyone enjoyed an incredible evening, we’re honoured to have been able to kick it off in style.”

Travelling on board with Chris were; Tommy Robertson, 16, Lewis McKenna, 16, Joseph Welby, 16, Ethan Cash, 16, Bradley Amos, 16, Jodie Oxtaby, 16, Leah Meakin, 16, Brooke Townley-Jones, 16, Ella Daine, 15, Jessica Day, 16, Natasha Neale, 16, Chloe Todmarsh, 16, and Xavier Parkins, 16.
