Upcoming Changes to our Services in Southend

From 31 August, we will be making changes to some of our services in Southend so that they better reflect how customers are using our buses.

These decisions haven’t been made lightly as we know any changes to bus times or routes can be disruptive.

Here’s a summary of the upcoming changes:

Service 2 – There will be some later buses in the evening. In addition, on the Government funded service 2A there will be two late trips to Shoeburyness East beach, Monday to Saturday at 23:15 and 00:15.

Service 6 – Will see additional later buses running in the evening to Garon Park,  these will be supported by Government funding and will run to Garon Park at 19:35, 20:35, 21:35, and to Southend 20:05, 21:05, 22:05.

Service 9 – Will see a reduction in its Saturday service, this is due to Government funding ending. The service will operate up to every 20 minutes between Rayleigh and Asda in both directions. Buses to Landwick & East Beach will be up to every 40 minutes.
