Temporary Closure of Netherton Way Bootle

On Monday 19th January 2026 until Friday 30th January 2026, Netherton Way will be closed in both directions from 1900 hrs until 0530 hrs at the junction of Park Lane to the junction of Church Road to facilitate carriageway improvement and resurfacing works.

Service 56

• From Liverpool as normal to Southport Road, then take the 1st exit left onto Northfield Road, then continue along Northfield Road, then at roundabout take the 2nd exit and continue onto Linacre Lane, then turn right onto Hawthorne Road, then continue along Hawthorne Road, then turn right onto Church Road, then continue along Church Road, then turn left onto Boundary Road, then resume normal route to Netherton. 
  Omits a section of Southport Road, Bailey Drive and Netherton Way.
• From Netherton as normal to Boundary Road, then turn right onto Church Road, then continue along Church Road, then turn left onto Hawthorne Road, then continue along Hawthorne Road, then turn left onto Linacre Lane, then continue along Linacre Lane, then at roundabout take 2nd exit onto Northfield Road, then at next roundabout take 6th exit right onto Southport Road, then resume normal route to Liverpool.
  Omits Netherton Way, Bailey Drive and a section of Southport Road.

Service 58/58A

• From Liverpool as normal to Linacre Lane, then turn left onto Hawthorne Road, then continue along Hawthorne Road, then turn right onto Church Road, then continue along Church Road, then turn left onto Boundary Road, then at roundabout take 1st exit left onto Sterrix Lane, then continue along Sterrix Lane, then turn right onto Gorsey Lane, then continue along Gorsey Lane, then turn right onto Fleetwoods Lane, then continue onto Glovers Lane, then terminate service at the bus stop on Glovers Lane, Magdelene Square (bus stop no.53001B). 
  Omits a section of Linacre Lane, Watts Lane, Park Lane, Netherton Way, Bridle Road, Park Lane, Park Lane West and St Oswald’s Lane.
• From Netherton commence service from the bus stop situated on Glovers Lane adjacent to the Marion Square (bus stop no.53001C), then turn continue along Glovers Lane, then continue onto Fleetwoods Lane, then left onto Gorsey Lane, then continue along Gorsey Lane, then turn left onto Sterrix Lane, then continue along Sterrix Lane, then at roundabout take the 3rd exit right onto Boundary Road, then continue along Boundary Road, then turn right and continue onto Church Road, then turn left onto Hawthorne Road, then continue along Hawthorne Road, then turn right onto Linacre Lane, then resume normal route to Liverpool. 
  Omits St Oswald’s Lane, Park Lane West, Park Lane, Bridle Road, Netherton Way, Park Lane, Watts Lane and a section of Linacre Lane.
