Emergency Active Travel Measures in Derby City Centre
Service Update Details
To support safe travel on public transport, Derby City Council will implement temporary measures in the city centre from Monday 3rd August for three months with a review in the third month. Following continued review, there is the possibility of further extensions thereafter.
Restrictions will be put in place making Corporation Street accessible by bus, taxis and cycles only in both directions.
Albert Street/Victoria Street
One-way traffic (towards the Wardwick) with two way cycling from Albert Street (junction with Exchange Street) to Victoria Street (junction with Wardwick).
8, 9 and X38 buses towards Derby City Centre will be diverted via Bold Lane, Cathedral Road, Full Street onto Corporation Street.

Bus stops affected
Stop B2, outside the Hook & Eye (opp. Uncle Tom’s Cabin), will remain in use but will be moved into the main carriageway to promote social distancing with the possible removal of the bus shelter.
Stop B3, outside Farmfoods/HSBC, will not be in use throughout the duration of these measures. Please use Victoria Street bus stop outside former Debenhams.
