Service Changes in Wakefield September 2023
From 3rd September 2023
We’re making changes to some of our services in Wakefield from 3rd September 2023.
Most of the changes involve new timetables to help improve the reliability of these services. We’re also launching new service 103 to provide a new bus link to the new City Fields development.

102/103 Wakefield – Eastmoor – City Fields – Pinderfields Hospital
(Continues to/from Wakefield as service 111)
Every other journey on service 102 will become a trip on new service 103.
Service 103 will extend from Eastmoor to Pinderfields Hospital via City Fields.
At Pinderfields Hospital, the bus will continue as service 111 to Wakefield. This means that City Fields residents have two ways to Wakefield…
• Customers can catch service 103 from City Fields to Wakefield Bus Station via Eastmoor, or…
• Customers can catch service 103 from City Fields towards Pinderfields Hospital and stay on the bus through to Wakefield Bus Station. Through ticketing will be available, so you just need one ticket.
In the return direction, there will be two ways from Wakefield Bus Station to City Fields…
• Customers can catch service 103 from Wakefield Bus Station to City Fields via Eastmoor, or…
• Customers can catch service 111 from Wakefield Bus Station towards Pinderfields Hospital and stay on the bus through to City Fields. Through ticketing will be available, so you just need one ticket.

111 Wakefield – Pinderfields Hospital
(Continues to/from City Fields as service 103)
A revised timetable is introduced with some journeys departing at different times.
This service will also be extended from Pinderfields Hospital to City Fields as service 103.
• Customers can catch service 103 from City Fields towards Pinderfields Hospital and stay on the bus to Wakefield Bus Station. Through ticketing will be available, so you just need one ticket.
• Customers can catch service 111 from Wakefield Bus Station towards Pinderfields Hospital and stay on the bus to City Fields. Through ticketing will be available, so you just need one ticket.

118 White Rose – Middleton – East Ardsley – Junction 41 – Outwood – Wakefield
Timetable changes are made to improve the reliability of the service.

147 Wakefield – City Fields – Altofts – Normanton – Featherstone – Pontefract
The service is rerouted via Nellie Spindler Drive and Neil Fox Way. New service 103 will provide buses via Ferry Lane and Aberford Road.
231/232 Huddersfield – Waterloo – Lepton – Sitlington – Horbury – Wakefield

SW1 St Wilfrids Catholic High School & Sixth Form College
Timetable changes are made to improve the reliability of the service. The morning journey will now leave Wakefield Bus Station 15 minutes earlier and will operate up to 15 minutes earlier throughout the route. The afternoon journey will leave the school at the same time.

SW3 St Wilfrids Catholic High School & Sixth Form College
Timetable changes are made to improve the reliability of the service. The morning journey will now leave Knottingley 5 minutes earlier and will operate up to 5 minutes earlier throughout the route. The afternoon journey will leave the school 5 minutes later at 1520.
