Service 419 Diversion to service Mitford area

We have been advised that Northumberland County Council are carrying out highway repairs on the B6343 to repair the carriageway following the recent landslip from 21 July until April 2026.

As a result of the closure, our service 419 will be unable to serve the area between Morpeth and Mitford due to no alternative route suitable for buses.

The morning journey will operate as normal between Morpeth and Dyke Neuk via Wallington Hall and Scots Gap. From Dyke Neuk the service will be required to divert via Meldon and Whalton to return to Morpeth, with a slightly later arrival into Morpeth.

The afternoon journey will operate from Morpeth via Whalton and Meldon to reach Dyke Neuk and then follow the normal route via Scots Gap and Wallington Hall to return back to Morpeth.
