Road Closures in Derby and Normanton
Sunday 20 July, Caribbean Carnival 2025
On Sunday 20th July 2025, there will be various Road closures around Derby City Centre and the Normanton Area for the Derby Caribbean Carnival.
Affected services will operate as follows:
Services 4, 5, & 5A
Services start and finish on Osmaston Road (Stop A7) and divert via Osmaston Road in both directions with outbound services returning to normal route at the Mitre Between 10am- 5pm.
Services 6 & 7 Service
Services will start and finish on Osmaston Road (Stop A7) and divert via Burton Road & Warwick Avenue before returning to normal route at Cavendish Island between 10am – 5pm.
Service 8
Service will start and finish at Derby bus station Bay 1 Between 8am- 5pm.
Service 38
Service will be diverted via Burton Road, Warwick Avenue & Kenilworth Avenue before returning to normal route at Sinfin lane 10am – 5pm.
Service X38
Service will divert via Stafford Street and the A601 Ring Road between 8am – 5pm.
