Road closures impact Notts Uni Hopper service - update

From 23rd January 2023

From Monday 9 January we introduced some changes to the hopper bus services to mitigate and ease the congestion both on campus and on the surrounding network. This is a result of the lane closures on the A52.

From Monday 23 January there will be a further change to 904 Service.

  • 904 – Royal Derby – With effect from Monday 23 January the 904 service will revert to travelling to and from Derby via the A52. This also means that we are able to introduce stops in both directions in the vicinity of West Entrance. The service will continue to operate from East Drive and will exit the south entrance and then head to the Dunkirk roundabout and travel back along University Boulevard in the direction of Derby - The bus will then stop at stops UN10 and UN01 - the stops directly outside and opposite the Co-op supermarket near the West Entrance.

The previous changes to the 901 and 903 remain in place.

  • 901 – Sutton Bonington Service – this service will operate from East Drive only – anyone who usually gets this bus from Beeston Lane area will need to walk to East Drive to catch the bus.
  • 903 – Jubilee Campus service – this service will operate from East Drive, anyone who usually gets this bus from Beeston Lane or Library Road will need to walk to East Drive to catch the bus.

These changes have been put in place to try to minimise disruption to the hopper bus services. The increased congestion in and around the city may impact on the scheduled services, so passengers are encouraged to think before they travel and ensure they leave plenty of time to make journeys. Service times remain unaffected.
