Road closure of A53 Shawbury

Route 64 – Roadworks in Shawbury
Through collaborative working between Shropshire Council, Arriva Midlands and the contractor, Kier, our buses on route 64 between Shrewsbury and Market Drayton have been granted exclusive access to pass through the road closure in Shawbury. Whilst customers might experience some delay to the service because of a site speed restriction, and a need to move the machinery to allow the safe passage of our buses, we can still operate a near normal timetable with no sections of the route unserved.
Through the period of the road closure, which is expected to commence on Wednesday 4 September, for a period of up to 10 days, all parties will be monitoring the situation closely and whilst we will endeavour to provide the scheduled service, some short notice delays or cancellations might occur.
