Remembrance Sunday (Southport)

On Sunday 10th November 2024 from 1000 until 1201. Lord Street will be closed from the junction of Hill Street to the junction of Eastbank Street.   London Street, will be closed from the junction of Lord Street to the junction of Hoghton Street and Nevill Street will be closed from the junction of Lord Street to the junction of Stanley Street. to ensure the safety of the public during the service at The Monument in London Square.

The closure is expected to be in place for 2 hours.

Service 44 
From Crossens as normal to Southport, Hoghton Street, then left onto London Street, Derby Road, right onto Sussex Road, right onto St Luke’s Road, Ash Street, left onto Forest Road, then resume normal route to Formby.
Omits Lord Street, Eastbank Street and Virginia Street. 
From Formby as normal to Forest Road, then right onto Rose Hill, St Luke’s Road, left onto Sussex Road, left onto Derby Road, London Street, right onto Hoghton Street, then resume normal route to Crossens.
Omits Virginia Street, Eastbank Street and Lord Street.

Service 46 
From Southport, Russell Road as normal to London Street, then right onto Hoghton Street, right onto Church Street, Sussex Road, right onto St Luke’s Road, Ash Street, right onto Virginia Street, across onto St James Street then resume normal route to Birkdale, Carr Lane. 
Omits Lord Street and Eastbank Street. 
From Birkdale, Carr Lane as normal route to St James Street, then across onto Virginia Street, left onto Ash Street, St Luke’s Road, left onto Sussex Road, Church Street, left onto Hoghton Street, left onto London Street, then resume normal route to Southport, Russell Road.

From Crossens as normal route to Southport, Albert Road, then right onto Leicester Street, left onto Promenade, right onto Esplanade, left onto Victoria Way, left onto Duke Street, right onto Lord Street West then resuming normal route to Liverpool.

From Liverpool as normal route to Southport, Lord Street, Ribble Buildings as normal via Lord Street but only to Kingsway, then left onto Kingsway, right onto Promenade, right onto Leicester Street, left onto Albert Road then resume normal route to Crossens.

From Crossens as normal route to Southport, Manchester Road then continue across onto Leicester Street, left onto Promenade, right onto Esplanade, left onto Victoria Way, left onto Duke Street, right onto Lord Street West then resume normal route to Woodvale.

From Woodvale as normal route to Southport, Lord Street, Ribble Buildings as normal via Lord Street but only to Kingsway, then turn left onto Kingsway, right onto Promenade, right onto Leicester Street, across onto Manchester Road then resuming normal route to Crossens.
