Park Avenue Whitley Bay Road Closure
From 18 September
Park Avenue will be fully closed between Whitley Road – York Road due to roadworks. The works are expected to last until mid-November. Diversion arrangements as follows:
57/57a Towards Whitley Bay – normal stops to Whitley Bay then will stop outside B&M’s.
57/57a Towards Cramlington/Ashington – Departing from outside B&M’s via North Parade, from Park Avenue normal route/stops will be resumed.
57/57a Towards North Shields (Eve/Sun) – Customers should use stop located outside Turkish Delight.
306 Towards Whitley Bay – normal stops to Whitley Road then set down at stop outside B&M’s. Buses which terminate in Town Centre.
306 Towards Newcastle – normal route/stops for trips starting from Seafront and trips starting in Town Centre.
308 Towards Blyth – normal stops to Whitley Road. Customers should use stop outside B&M’s to board towards Blyth.
308 Towards Newcastle – normal stops.
