Orbit ticket becomes Beds & Bucks, and Hertfordshire
from 31 August 2025
From 31 August, the Orbit fare zone will be replaced by two new zones – Beds & Bucks and Hertfordshire.
Don’t worry – you’ll still enjoy the same great value travel you do today. All current ticket types and prices will continue in the new zones, so there’s no change to what you pay.
If you already have an Orbit ticket, you can keep using it until it expires. After that, simply choose from our new Beds & Bucks or Hertfordshire tickets.
Take a look at our handy map to see the new zone boundaries.

For families, our £14.50 ticket offers an amazing saving for two adults and three children travelling together – we’ll do the driving, you make the most of fun days out.
Save when you travel together – Our Duo ticket is perfect for two adults travelling together. A Hertfordshire Day ticket is £8.70, but the Duo is just £14 – that’s a saving of nearly 20% compared to buying separately.
Students get even more – A Hertfordshire student term pass is £870, but for just £10 more, you’ll be covered for the entire year. That’s an extra month of travel for just £10 – making it incredible value.
