Service X10 and X11 – Newsham Level Crossing Closure
We have been informed by Northumberland County Council that the Level Crossing at Newsham Black Diamond will be closed from 2200 on Saturday until 0500 Monday on the following dates:
Saturday 15th April until Monday 17th April
Saturday 22nd April until Monday 24th April
Saturday 29th April until Monday 1st May
As a result of these closures, Services X10 and X11 will be subject to delays and diversions.
On the Saturday evenings, both services towards Blyth will observe the Benridge Park Bus Link, Park Farm Villas before operating direct to Newsham Black Diamond, then rejoining normal routes to Blyth Bus Station. Journeys towards Newcastle will operate as normal to Newsham, then follow the above diversion in reverse to Benridge Park. As a result of the diversion required for these services, some journeys may operate with slight delays.
On the Sundays noted above, both services X10 and X11 will operate direct between Broadway Roundabout and Park Farm Villas before both using the Benridge Bus Link towards Newcastle.
As a result of this diversion, Arriva will be operating a shuttle service on behalf of Northumberland County Council which link Newsham Black Diamond, Newsham Road, Plessy Road and Blyth Bus Station, passengers will then be able to connect with the X10/X11 towards Cramlington and Newcastle
