Improving connections in Tamworth

From 3 January 2026 we’ll be making some revisions to our services in Tamworth to better meet customer needs. Details of the changes are below, and new timetables will be available on the below links as soon as they’re available.

2 Tamworth to Gillway 
Following local feedback, service 2 is now a circular so will no longer sit at the bottom of Wigginton Road. Based on feedback, the timing point is now at the Tam O'Shanter pub.

Also following customer feedback based on confusion with service 65, service 2 will no longer serve Ventura Park. Alternative connections between Tamworth and Ventura are provided by service 6 (hourly) or service 10 (every 30 mins) – please see below.
Buses will also now operate from Corporation Street, ensuring that customers at the top end of Tamworth can use either service 2 or 3 from the same stand.

3 Tamworth to Coton Green 
There will be some minor timetable changes to improve reliability.

65 Tamworth to Nuneaton  
This route will be renumbered 6. The route will now extend beyond Ventura Park to Dunstall Park, ensuring customers in this estate retain a bus connection to Tamworth. There will also be some timetable revisions to improve punctuality.

10  Tamworth to Ventura Park
We are introducing a new route connecting Tamworth town centre to Ventura Park. This will be a half hourly service Monday to Saturday linking Victoria Road, Tamworth rail station, Corporation Street and Ventura Park.

11 Tamworth to Dunstall Park 
This service will be withdrawn at end of service on 2 January 2026, following an end to the current funding agreement in place. Connections between Dunstall Park, Ventura Park and Tamworth will be retained by the extended service 6 every hour.

785 Tamworth to Austrey 
The 07:35 school service and the 07:50 non-school (Mon-Sat) service are being extended to serve Ventura Park. This ensures customers in Polesworth retain an hourly connection to Ventura Park when combined with the revised service 6 timetable.
