Closure of Low Main Place Cramlington

21st August until 3rd September 2024

We have been informed by Northumberland County Council that from the 21st August until 3rd September, highway repair works will be carried out on Low Main Place and Station Road between the hours of 0900 and 1500. We believe no works will be carried out during the weekends.

These works will be carried out in two phases with services diverted as a result and serving temporary stops.

Phase 1 will commence from the 21st August and last approx. 7 days. This will see Low Main Place closed between Durham Road/Station Road roundabout and Dudley Lane/Forum Way junction. As a result we will be unable to serve the main Manor Walks Bus Stops between the above dates and times.

All services will use temporary stops on Station Road close to Commerical Way junction. Services towards Ashington, Blyth and Morpeth will use the stops on the Eastbound side of the road. Services towards Newcastle, North Shields and Whitley Bay will use the Westbound stops.

Phase 2 will commence from 29th August and last approx. 3 days. This will see Station Road closed between Commerical Way and Durham Road/Low Main Place roundabout, as a result services 43 and 57 will be unable to serve stops in this area, with passengers directed to either the main Manor Walk stops or outside of Nelson Village.

We believe that Stagecoach service 37, Go North East 352 and 353 plus Nexus Bus 19 will also follow these stopping arrangements, however please check with the relevant operator for full details.

Sorry for any inconvenience and delays caused during these works.
