Chatham Waterfront Bus Station Works
Bus stop changes from 29 September 2025
*****Update - 20 November 2025*****
The first phase of works will be completed this week, and Bus Stops A1 to A4 will be reopening from Saturday 22 November.
Buses will be returning to their usual stops except for the ASD 170 Service to Medway City Estate and Strood which will permanently be moving to Stand D17 to ease congestion on Platform A.
Please note from Saturday 22 until Friday 28 November from 8pm until 6am resurfacing works are taking place at Chatham Waterfront Bus Station.
On Sat 22, Sun 23 and Mon 24 November Waterfront Way will be closed after 8pm so no buses will leave/drop off at Platforms C & D, all buses will depart from platforms A & B after this time
On Tue 25 and Wed 26 Nov, Platform A and B will be closed after 8pm, buses will depart from platforms C & D.
On Thurs 27 and Fri 28 Nov, Platform A will be closed buses after 8pm will depart from platforms B & C.
Please note that due road closures at the bus station buses will arrive via different routes from normal to the bus station. Please follow signage.
We apologise for any inconvenience this will cause during these essential resurfacing works.
With the completion of the new road layout at Chatham Bus Station, some routes will be re-routed on the approach to the bus station. New timetables will come into effect on Sunday 23rd November to account for the extra time needed to enter the bus station. Please check the timetables before travelling.

Due to upcoming works, bus stops A1 to A4 will be closed from Monday 29 September for up to 8 weeks.
Buses which normally depart from these stops will depart from alternative stops as shown in the table below.

As a result of the works services 116 and 182 will enter the Waterfront bus station from Best Street.
