Changes to services in Tamworth and Sutton Coldfield
from Saturday 31 August 2024
From Saturday 31st August 2024, we’ll be making changes to some of our services in Tamworth and Sutton Coldfield to provide our customers with better connectivity. Some services will be revised to accommodate changes to the start and finish times for some schools.
Don’t forget that Adult Single tickets are still priced at £2.
Take a look below to see the changes we’re making:
2 Tamworth to Gillway, Arkall Farm and Ventura Park
A revised route is being introduced to serve more of the Arkall Farm development.
The road along Barley Crescent is scheduled to be opened to all traffic and this will allow our buses to run along this road providing better access to residents.
There is no change to the timetable, with buses continuing to run up to every 30 minutes throughout the day on Mondays to Saturdays, and up to every 60 minutes throughout the day on Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays.
As well as providing customers with a convenient drop off and pick up point in Victoria Road, buses will also serve Tamworth Train Station and Ventura Park
785/786 Tamworth to Polesworth and Austrey
We’re making some changes to the timetable to accommodate a change to the finish time at The Polesworth School.
110 Tamworth to Sutton Coldfield and Birmingham
The 0740 journey from Tamworth to Birmingham and the 1440 journey from Birmingham to Tamworth on Mondays to Fridays will be diverted through Roughley to provide a service for pupils attending Fairfax School and The Royal Sutton School/John Willmott School at Reddicap Heath.
From Tamworth, the bus will run along Slade Road, Roughley Farm (due at 0807), Weeford Road and Whitehouse Common Road to Reddicap Heath, then onward to Sutton Coldfield and Birmingham. From Birmingham, the bus will run the reverse of the morning journey, picking up pupils at Reddicap Heath at 1520. These journeys will no longer serve Bassetts Pole.
There are no other changes to this timetable.
