Changes to Merseyside services 18 423 and 487
From 6th October 2024
From Sunday 6th October minor changes will be made to Merseyside services 18, 423 and 487.
Service 18, Croxteth Park to Liverpool
Due to congestion issues, route changes will be made to Monday to Friday morning journeys between 0730 and 0930.
Journeys towards Liverpool at the times above will be revised to operate via Queens Drive and Mill Bank Road, missing out a section of Muirhead Avenue.
These journeys will use the bus stops on Three But Lane (Queens Drive) and Bankfield Road (West Derby Road).
Service 423, Liverpool and Birkenhead to Seacombe Ferry
Journeys towards Moreton and Seacombe Ferry will be revised to depart Birkenhead Bus station from Stand 3, no changes to times.
Service 487, Liverpool to Parkgate and Ness Gardens
Changes will be made to the below Monday to Friday morning journeys;
- Journey from Birkenhead Bus Station at 0704 revised to depart at 0723 and finish at the Royal Oak after serving West Vale and Greenfields, instead of Ness Gardens.
- Current 0811 journey from Ness Gardens will instead start from the Royal Oak at 8:23.
Customers around Greenfields and West Vale that normally board between 0815 to 0820 towards Liverpool are advised to instead board between 0813 and 0818 on the opposite side of the road and travel to the Royal Oak, then stay on the bus which will depart the Royal Oak at 0823 towards Liverpool.
