Changes to improve Shrewsbury’s and Oswestry‘s Buses
From Saturday 23rd July 2022
We’re making a handful of changes to some Shrewsbury bus routes to speed up journeys, and to make them more punctual. We’re passionate about continually improving our buses. So, these changes will help ensure that we’re running to our timetable in response to changing traffic levels. Here’s what we’re changing:
23 – Shrewsbury to Monkmoor
We’re making some small tweaks to this timetable to make journeys into and out of the town centre faster. Buses will leave the town centre around five minutes later than they do now.
26 – Shrewsbury to Meole Brace
We’re making some small tweaks to this timetable to make journeys into and out of the town centre be more progressive. Buses will leave the town centre around five minutes later than they do now.
27 – Shrewsbury to Bayston Hill
We’ve altered the timetable to help keep buses running on time. Buses will leave Shrewsbury town centre around five minute later than they do currently, but there’s no change to arrival times back into town.
53 – Ellesmere to Oswestry
We’ve listened to customer feedback, so we’ll be adding an additional journey in the morning from Ellesmere at 07:10, arriving into Oswestry at 07:46.
436 – Shrewsbury to Bridgnorth
Buses from Shrewsbury will now run around five minutes later to limit the stationary time in Bridgnorth – this is to help reduce congestion. We’ve also made a handful of adjustments throughout the timetable to help keep buses running to time.
511 – Shrewsbury to Whitchurch
There’s some minor changes to the overall timetable to help buses run better to time. There will be a change on Saturdays where the 07:58 from Whitchurch and the 14:50 from Shrewsbury will now run through Prees Crossroads rather than Prees Old Hall.
524 – Sundorne to Shrewsbury
We’ll now be leaving Sundorne at 07:12 and running slightly later throughout, but still arriving into Shrewsbury at the same time as current, to allow customers to connect directly to our 26 route.
