Changes to Fares in Yorkshire
From 30th January 2022.
We're changing our fares to be simpler and easier to understand.
From 30 January 2022, we’re simplifying our fares to make them easier to understand. The number of single fares will reduce from 21 to just 5, meaning some customers will pay up to 80p less per journey. We’re also changing some ticket zone boundaries, and we’re removing the difference in price between buying a ticket from the driver or buying it on our mobile app.
The fares were last changed in 2019, and over the past 2 years, we have seen changing travel patterns due to the pandemic and there have been inflationary costs, with this in mind we have; simplified tickets to make it easier for customers when travelling with us.
Adult Single Fares
We're simplifying our single fares to just 5 fare bands, replacing the 21 fare bands we have currently. This results in some customers paying up to 80p less for their travel.

Changes to Our Zone Boundaries
- Castleford Urban Zone – The boundary of this ticket will change to include all areas in Castleford, Knottingley and Pontefract.
- Leeds Urban Zone – The boundary of this ticket will change to include Lofthouse, Oulton, Rothwell, Swillington and Woodlesford in South Leeds.
- South & West Yorkshire Zone – This zone is renamed “West Yorkshire Zone” and the boundary will change to become West Yorkshire only. Customers travelling within South Yorkshire can use our Doncaster Urban Zone, and customers travelling between South Yorkshire and West Yorkshire can use our All Yorkshire Zone
Young Person Single Fares in East Riding, North Yorkshire & York
