Bus Stop Changes on North Road in Durham
From Monday 2nd November 2020
Durham County Council will move to Phase 2 of the works on North Road in Durham from Monday 2nd November 2020. This will last for up to four weeks and the bus stops on North Road (outside Johnson's) will be closed. This is to allow new stops to be constructed there.
During this period, the following services will have revised routes and stopping arrangements in Durham city centre:
Services 61, 62 and 64
Buses to all destinations will run through the bus station and use temporary stops outside of the Bethel Chapel on North Road. They will also omit the stops on Milburngate.
Services 6, 7, X24 and X46
Buses travelling to Framwellgate Moor will pick-up and drop-off passengers at stand A in the bus station. They will then turn left out of the bus station and run via North Road to Framwellgate Moor.
These revised routes and stopping arrangements will apply all day every day during the road closure, and there will be no alterations to timetables. There are no changes to any other services, including the 6, 56, 57, 57A, 58 and X12 which are currently diverting via Quarryheads Lane due to the closure of New Elvet Bridge.
