From 7 October 2024

Customers are advised that from Monday 7th October during an evening from 2100 until 0600 the next morning for 4 nights, Northumberland County Council will be carrying out resurfacing works outside of Blyth Bus Station on the junction with Union Street / Bridge Street.

As a result of these works, buses will not be able to depart from the bus station as usual. All services will be directed to two temporary stops on Bridge Street outside of “The Quay” and “The Post Office”.

Please see map below to show locations of the temporary stops from where the Bus Station is.

Services will be split between the stops as follows:

Services 1, 2, X9 and X10 – will stop on the northbound side facing towards the Arriva depot outside of “The Post Office”

Services X7, X8, X11, 308 and GNE 309 – stop on the southbound side of the road outside of “The Quay” facing towards South Beach.

All services departing and arriving into Blyth after 2100 each evening will be required to serve these temporary stops. Departures from the bus station before 0600 the next morning will also be required to use these temporary stops. Works are expected to end of the Thursday morning.

Sorry for any inconvenience and delays caused during these works.
