Bedlington Ridge Terrace

Diversion to services 43 and X21

Northumberland County Council will be carrying out essential roadworks in the Bedlington Red House Farm area from Monday 27th October to Thursday 30th October, between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00 each day.

As a result of these works, Arriva services 43 and X21 will be unable to serve Nedderton, and Red House Farm / Meadowdale areas during these times.

To accommodate the closure, service 43 will divert from Bedlington Red Lion via the A1068 and A192, re-joining it’s normal route at Nedderton Service Station. Service X21 will divert from Bedlington Red Lion via the A1068 and re-join it’s normal route at Plessey Woods.  This diversion will be in place only during the closure hours. Journeys operating outside of 08:00–16:00 will follow their usual route and serve all regular stops.

For Service 43, the first journey to divert northbound (towards Morpeth) will be the 07:54 departure from Cramlington, with the last at 15:11. Southbound, the first diverted journey will be the 08:47 departure from Morpeth, and the last at 14:52.

For Service X21, the first southbound diverted journey (towards Newcastle) will depart Ashington at 07:39, with the last at 15:09. Northbound, the first diverted service will leave Newcastle at 07:40, with the last at 15:15.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused by this disruption. These works are being carried out by the local authority and are beyond Arriva’s control. We appreciate your patience and understanding while these essential repairs are completed.
