Statement in response to plans for strike action in April

UPDATE 2 APRIL:

We are pleased to advise that Unite the Union have agreed to take a revised pay offer to their members, and to suspend industrial action that they had planned to take place 7th – 13th April.

UPDATE 28 MARCH: Potential Industrial Action Blyth and Ashington Depots : 7th April 2024

We understand that our customers may be concerned to learn about the proposed strike by bus drivers and engineers from the Blyth and Ashington depots from the 7th April to 13th April 2024. We are continuing to work with Unite to try and find agreement and we will inform our customers as and when we have an update.

STATEMENT 22 MARCH:

Customers may be aware that workers at Blyth and Ashington depots have voted for strike action during the week of April 7 and April 21.

A spokesperson for Arriva North East said: "This will come as disappointing news for our customers, however Arriva will continue to work with Unite and try our best to find the most appropriate resolution."

We will update our customers with any information they need as soon as we are able to.
