Travelling around Dartford

With its very own Central Park, Dartford is well worth a visit. This vibrant town, lying within the Kent border, is famous for the Dartford Crossing – the busiest estuary crossing in the UK. And, while it plays an important role in taking M25 motorists under the river, there's plenty more to it than just its (well-deserved) commuter town status.

There's plenty to do here, from shopping in the Orchard shopping centre to watching live music at the Mick Jagger Centre – the rock icon was born here. There's a lively nightlife with a range of pubs, bars and clubs to choose from and plenty of family-friendly activities too.

The transport system is excellent, as one might expect from a commuter town of this nature. So getting to Dartford is a cinch, with regular trains to London and a wealth of motorways nearby. There are also excellent transport links around the town, thanks to Arriva buses, which operate in the area and will take you to Gravesend, Bluewater and many more places.
