Getting around Medway
Arriva is here to help you get around the Medway Towns and the surrounding area.
Our buses run across the region, with frequent services linking estates and residential areas to the town centres and to Hempstead Valley Shopping Centre.
There are also frequent 'Sapphire' buses to Maidstone that run every twelve minutes for most of the day on Mondays to Saturdays and half-hourly on Sundays, as well as to Bluewater every twenty minutes for most of the day on Mondays to Saturdays and half-hourly on Sundays.
Sapphire buses are fitted with free Wi-Fi, more comfortable seating, USB power sockets and audio-visual displays to announce the next bus stop to be called at.
Free Wi-Fi is also available on board an increasing number of buses on other routes in the Medway Towns and our latest buses have 4G Wi-Fi and at-seat USB charging sockets.
We provide a frequent service to the Universities at Medway, with great-value ticket prices for university students.

The Chatham Connection
All buses run to and from Chatham Waterfront Bus Station, right in the heart of town.
The Bus Station is close to the Pentagon Shopping Centre and just a short walk from the High Street. If you're visiting Medway for a day out or a short break, our buses can get you to most of the local tourist attractions.
Services 190 and 191 run frequently from Dickens World and Chatham Historic Dockyard and through the historic centre of Rochester with its Victorian High Street, castle and cathedral. There are frequent buses to the Royal Engineers' Museum at Brompton - take Sapphire 101, the 116, the 121 or the 182.
Fort Amherst is a five-minute walk away from the Bus Station or hop on a Sapphire 101, 116, 121, 182, 190 or 191 and get off the bus at the Medway Council offices in Dock Road. Fort Amherst is a short walk away on the opposite side of the road. Buses back to Chatham Bus and Rail Stations stop right outside the fort.
