Changes to Arriva services in Sevenoaks, Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells from 8th July 2018

We will be making some changes to our services in the Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells area from 8th July.
Included are more frequent Sunday buses on Services 7 and 402, both running every thirty minutes instead of hourly and combining to give a fifteen-minute Sunday frequency between Tunbridge Wells and Tonbridge.
Please note that Service 6 and 7 buses will depart from different stops in Maidstone Bus Station when returning to Tunbridge Wells. The 6 will depart from Stop H3 and the 7 from H4.
There will also be changes to the 277 timetable with some buses serving the new Knight's Wood development.

Full details of the changes are shown below.

Service 1: Sevenoaks Town Centre – Sevenoaks Station – Chipstead – Riverhead – Dunton Green
There will be a slight change of route to serve the medical practice in St Botolph’s Road in Sevenoaks. Buses will run between the rail and bus stations via St. Botolph's Road and The Vine instead of via Pembroke Road and London Road.

Service 2: Sevenoaks Town Centre – Sevenoaks Station – Seal – Kemsing – Noah’s Ark
There is no change to the timetable but buses will run on a ‘Hail and Ride’ basis between Castle Drive and Noah’s Ark. The driver will stop anywhere that is safe to do so. When the bus approaches, clearly signal to the driver that you want the bus to stop.

Service 6/6A: Maidstone – Barming – Wateringbury – East Peckham – Paddock Wood – Pembury – Tunbridge Wells
There will be minor timetable changes to improve reliability.

Additional early morning and late afternoon/early evening buses will run between Tunbridge Wells town centre and Tunbridge Wells Hospital.

In Maidstone Bus Station, Service 6 buses will depart from Stop H3 instead of H1.

Service 6X: Maidstone – Maidstone Hospital – Barming – Wateringbury – Nettlestead – Colts Hill – Tunbridge Wells Hospital
The Monday to Friday timetable will be revised to run only between Maidstone Hospital and Tunbridge Wells Hospital. It will no longer run between Maidstone town centre and Maidstone Hospital.

There will be Service 6X buses on Saturdays and Sundays during the early morning and late afternoon/early evening periods for the benefit of hospital staff.

Service 7: Maidstone – Barming – Wateringbury – Mereworth – Hadlow – Tonbridge Tunbridge Wells
There will be minor changes to the Monday to Friday timetable but the Saturday frequency will be revised to run every thirty minutes for the main part of the day. Combined with Service 3, this will give a fifteen-minute Saturday frequency along Tonbridge Road between the town centre and Fountain Lane.

The Sunday frequency will be doubled to run every thirty minutes.

In Maidstone Bus Station, Service 7 buses will depart from Stop H4 instead of H1.

Service 77A/77B/77C: West Malling – Kings Hill – Mereworth – Hadlow – Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells schools
An additional Service 77 bus will run on Schooldays at 1710 from West Malling High Street to Tonbridge (Quarry Hill Parade).

Service 218/219: Knights Park – Tunbridge Wells Hospital – Tonbridge – North Tonbridge
There will be minor changes to the timetable to improve reliability.

Service 277: Sainsbury’s – Tunbridge Wells Town Centre – Ferndale – Sherwood – North Farm – Knights Park – Tunbridge Wells Hospital
Some additional buses will run later into the evening and some buses will be diverted to serve new housing at Knight’s Wood.

Service 402/402B/402W: Tunbridge Wells – Tonbridge – Hildenborough – Sevenoaks
The Monday to Friday timetable will be revised to improve reliability but existing frequencies will be maintained.

An additional Schooldays bus, numbered 402A, will run at 0714 hours from Seal Cemetery via Sevenoaks to Weald of Kent School.

The Saturday frequency will be revised to run every thirty minutes. Combined with Service 7 there will be a fifteen-minute frequency on Saturdays between Tunbridge Wells Station and Tonbridge Castle.

The Sunday frequency will be doubled to run every thirty minutes. Combined with Service 7 there will be a fifteen-minute frequency for the main part of the day on Sundays.
