Arriva in Kent and Surrey

The Young Person's Travel Pass (YPTP) is a school term ticket which is subsidised by Kent Council Council. The ticket is purchased from the council and allows children aged 11 to 16 to use the pass to get to school on Arriva buses in Kent.

New additional freedoms introduced on Arriva buses

From Sunday 6 May 2018 YPTP pass holders will also be able to use their passes to travel during the evenings, weekends and during school holidays to travel on any Arriva buses in Kent.

So once you've used it to go to and from school, now you can go out:

  • After school in the evening
  • Any time during the weekend and bank holidays
  • Right through the school holidays

And all at no extra cost!

No more will you have to rely on others to give you a lift or find the money to pay more bus fares. You can be independent... go when and where you want... no longer reliant on friends and family... and without it costing a single penny more.

Please note that this is a joint initiative between Kent County Council and Arriva, so doesn't apply in the Medway Council area or Surrey. But pass holders living in Kent can travel to and from Medway if one end of their journey is in Kent.
