Pugneys Country Park

This beautiful country park and nature reserve has all the facilities for a great day out in West Yorkshire. The park features the Boat House Café, various ice cream parlours and DIY BBQ Stations. If you’re feeling something more active, the park offers a range of water sports activities such as rowing boats or pedalos. If water isn’t really your thing, Pugneys Country Park offers a comprehensive cycling hire facility for everyone from juniors up to adults.

There’s no better place for our four-legged friends, with the provision that they are kept on their leads and under control for the comfort of all the other park users and wildlife. On days when the weather isn’t so great, why not treat them to a clean using the famous on-site “Dog Wash”

There are a variety of walking routes you will find, with a circular walk being 1.6 miles and a longer walk up to the historical site of Sandal Castle extending the walk distance by 2 miles (including return).
