New buses and revised times for Hertfordshire from 28th August 2016

Location: Hemel Hempstead, Stevenage, Waltham Cross Ware, Welwyn Garden City

We will be making changes to a number of our services in Hertfordshire from 28th August, including timing adjustments to improve reliability, improvements for commuters and new evening and Sunday services for the 310 between Hertford and Waltham Cross. We are also investing £3million in a fleet of fourteen brand-new double-deckers for Service 310.

We will be making changes to a number of our services in Hertfordshire from 28th August, including timing adjustments to improve reliability, improvements for commuters and new evening and Sunday services for the 310 between Hertford and Waltham Cross.

We have also invested £3million in a fleet of fourteen brand-new double-deck buses for the 310, bringing new standards of comfort to our customers on this route, along with free 4G Wi-Fi on board and USB charging points for mobile phones, tablets and laptops at each seat, allowing you to make the most of your time on the move by catching up with emails, chatting with friends, browsing the internet or doing some online shopping.

1 Northend Farm – Hemel Hempstead Town Centre - Adeyfield
Due to insufficient use being made of this service, we are no longer able to continue running it. A replacement service will be provided by Red Eagle. 
                   
3 Hemel Hempstead Town Centre - Chaulden
- The timetable will be revised, with most buses running three minutes later than at present.
- This service will no longer serve Hemel Hempstead Rail Station.    

4 Hemel Hempstead Rail Station – Town Centre – Highfield – Grovehill West
- This service will only serve Hemel Hempstead Rail Station at peak times.
- During the off-peak period buses will run only to and from the town centre and the frequency will be revised to half-hourly.                    
300/1 Hemel Hempstead – St Albans – Hatfield – Welwyn Garden City - Stevenage
There will be some changes to the timetable to improve reliability and to cater for revised finishing times at John Henry Newman School.    

310 Hertford – Ware – Hoddesdon – Cheshunt – Waltham Cross
- Brand new double-deck buses, representing an investment of £3 million, will be used on this service. Fitted with the latest engine technology to significantly reduce exhaust emissions, these buses have FREE 4G Wi-Fi, USB charging points at each seat for mobile phones and tablets, and stylish eco-leather seating.
- The timetable will be revised, with a twelve-minute frequency for the main part of the day.
- There will be an improved evening service with EXTRA buses, timed to be convenient for those attending evening classes.
- A new Sunday service will run every hour.  This is being provided on a commercial basis without any financial support.    

401 Welwyn Garden City - Panshanger
- The timetable will be revised.
- An additional bus will run during the morning peak period.      
         
403 Haldens - Welwyn Garden City – Great Ganett
The timetable will be revised, with most buses running five minutes later than at present.. 
   
758 Greenline Hemel Hempstead - London
The 1530 hours coach from Hemel Hempstead to London on Mondays to Fridays will run via Maylands Avenue.

856 Shephall – John Henry Newman School    
The afternoon bus will be retimed to meet the new finish times at the school.    

ML1 Hemel Hempstead Rail Station – Warners End – Chaulden - Maylands
Due to insufficient use being made of this service, we are no longer able to continue running it. A replacement service will be provided by Red Eagle.                    

SB2/3 Stevenage Town Centre – St. Nicholas – Martins Wood circular
There will be additional buses during the early morning and early evening periods on Mondays to Fridays.    

SB4/5 Stevenage Town Centre – Shephall – Oaks Cross – Roebuck circular
The timetable during peak periods on Mondays to Fridays will be revised to incorporate improved frequencies for commuters. Some SB40 and SB50 buses will run via the normal SB4 and SB5 routes due to traffic congestion and reduced demand for travel to Gunnels Wood Road.    

SB7 Stevenage Town Centre – Pin Green – Great Ashby
There will be minor timing alterations to improve reliability and additional buses during the early morning and early evening periods on Mondays to Fridays.
