Keeping pupils safe onboard

Dedicated timetable and safety information specifically for school children

As schools and colleges begin to reopen, we know it is important for you to get the timetable information you need.

To support school, sixth form and college pupils in safely travelling to their place of study we’ve created the handy guide below on what buses you can catch and all the essential information you need to know on social distancing.

All our buses are Covid-19 secure and undergo enhanced touchpoint cleaning each day.  We are also ensuring good ventilation of fresh air by keeping windows open wherever possible.

To help reduce the amount of physical contact between pupils and drivers, we are asking you to only use contactless payment or tickets via the new Arriva UK Bus app. Cash will only be accepted as a form of payment in exceptional circumstances and where the correct fare can be paid, Arriva drivers will not be able to provide change at this time.

Covid-19 Procedures

Social distancing will be required on all services, which is clearly marked out onboard.  If you are over 11 you will be required to wear a face covering, exemptions apply, to find out more please click here. Pupils should also carry hand sanitiser with them and use it before boarding and after alighting where ever possible.

School Timetables

To help increase capacity and allow everyone to travel safely we are adding in extra journeys, using bigger buses, or running two buses together.

Full details please see below by simply clicking on your area. Or you can find full details of your service in our new Arriva UK Bus app which is free to download from the app store. Find out more here. You can also use our new journey planner on this page. Simply put in your location and destination and it will give you all the buses available at the time chosen.

Please note if the route you usually travel on is not listed below it means that there are no extra buses. You can use your normal service to travel to school or college and we have ensured there is plenty of capacity on these services.
