Keeping pupils safe onboard
Dedicated timetable and safety information specifically for school children
Despite schools and many pupils moving to remote learning during the current lockdown we know that many of you, such as the children of key workers, still need to attend classes at schools.
To support those pupils in safely travelling to their place of study, we've created the handy guide below on what buses you can catch and all the essential information you need to know on social distancing.
All of our buses are Covid-19 secure and undergo enhanced touchpoint cleaning each day. We are also ensuring good ventilation of fresh air by keeping windows open wherever possible.
To help reduce the amount of physical contact between pupils and drivers, we are asking you to only use contactless payment or tickets via the new Arriva UK Bus app. Cash will only be accepted as a form of payment in exceptional circumstances and where the correct fare can be paid. Arriva drivers will not be able to provide change at this time.
Covid-19 Procedures
Social distancing will be required on all services and this is clearly marked out onboard. If you are over 11, you will be required to wear a face covering, unless exempt. To find out more, please click here. Pupils should also carry hand sanitiser with them and use it before boarding and after alighting wherever possible.
