Visitors can explore the Ironbridge Gorge Museum Trust, which preserves and interprets the remains of the Industrial Revolution. At the museum you can experience life in a Victorian town, and the Coalbrookdale Museum of Iron, which showcases the history of iron-making in the area. The site also contains substantial remains of mines, pit mounds, spoil heaps, foundries, factories, workshops, warehouses, iron masters’ and workers’ housing, public buildings, infrastructure, and transport systems.
