The Rainbow Campaign
With the closure of nurseries and schools, families are connecting with each other by painting colourful rainbows and putting them in their windows for others to see as a way of spreading positivity and to raise a smile for those out walking.
The campaign which originally started in Italy has quickly turned into a global movement, with Italians first sharing their rainbow pictures early in March after the country was declared in a state of lockdown. Their rainbow images were accompanied by slogans of reassurance such as: “Andrà tutto bene” – “everything will be all right”. You can read more about the origins of the Rainbow Campaign here.
