Is there a free student bus pass?
There isn’t a free student bus pass but there is a great choice of tickets including Day, Weekly and specific term and academic year tickets. Please speak to your local college or local council for information about free bus travel.
Are there student travel discounts?
In some areas there a student travel discounts which require discount cards.

What age do you get a bus pass as a student?
Our Student tickets are for anyone in post-16 full time education with a valid student ID. Age requirements can vary depending on the specific fare rules in your region.

What type of ticket do I need?
Dependent on your status as a student or a scholar, you may be eligible for various ticket options.

How do direct debits work for ticket payments?
Direct Debits offer a convenient way to pay for your tickets. Once set up with your bank, the agreed amount will be automatically deducted from your account.
When will the payment come out via direct debit?
Payments via direct debit occur on a predetermined date each month. The exact date will be specified in your agreement with Arriva, this would either be on the 1st or the 15th of the month.
How long will it take for a paper ticket to arrive at my postal address?
Paper tickets arrive within 5-7 working days after purchase. If you have not received your ticket within this timeframe, please contact our customer service team here
Do I need identification (ID) when using a student ticket?
Yes, it is advisable to carry a physical Student ID card when travelling with a student ticket. This ensure that you can verify your eligibility for the discounted fare if requested by our drivers. We do not accept Student IDs that are on an app.
