'My name is Phil Johnson, I currently work for a company called Groundwork North East & Cumbria. Groundwork is a environmental charity, who assist our local community. My current role is Customer Service Advisor. My role involves assisting people of all ages, with any barriers that they may have.
I first contacted Arriva, about 5 years ago, as we were spending a lot of money of client travel, either for job interviews, coming into our centre or anything else. I decided to contact Arriva as they were the main bus company in my area. I rang Arriva to enquire about possible schemes they had to help us reduced our spend. I spoke to Leeanne Coatman at Arriva, who explained they had just started a new scheme called travel passes, which they were just testing. I spoke to Leeanne regularly over the phone and by email, to explain the advantages of the travel passes and how to order them.
At first I ordered a batch of single tickets, to see how it worked with our clients. At first our clients struggled grasp how to use them, but they got use to them.
Since then, I have continued to use the Arriva tickets with great success. We have noticed that our spend has gone down a lot, since we started using the vouchers. I would definately recommend the scheme to other companies. I would also like to thank Leeanne Coatman, for her help and guidance over the last 5 years. If I hadn't spoken to her, I don't think, we would still be using the tickets now.'
