Arriva Flies High with New Busway Timetables
Arriva Buses has announced a number of improvements to its Busway services which will see the frequency of journeys on both the Z and Airport routes increase to at least one departure every 10 minutes.
The alterations, which will come into force on 27th October, will enable airport passengers to time their travel more effectively for a seamless front-door-to-flight journey, whilst those travelling from Houghton Regis will benefit from a reduced waiting time and an easier commute with buses every 10 minutes to Dunstable and Luton.
Linsey Frostick, General Manager for Arriva Luton, explained: “The increase in frequency on both these routes will make getting from A to B much more efficient for the customers using them. Each route will see a boost from the usual bus every 15minutes, with extra journeys to and from the airport in the early mornings and later evenings to provide additional capacity around the key shift patterns of the people who work there.
“So whether it’s onwards or upwards that your Busway journey is taking you, with these changes, you will be in for a smoother ride, wherever your final destination might be.”
As part of the new timetable, one journey per hour on the Z will operate via Parkside and Windsor Drive in Houghton Hamlets rather than via Woodside Link, offering a replacement for service 38 which is being withdrawn.
There will also be some minor timetable changes on the F70 and F77 between Luton and Milton Keynes to improve punctuality.
