Arriva teams up with Wycombe Wanderers
Arriva has teamed up with Wycombe Wanderers Football Club to provide a new bus service that will take supporters to and from home matches at Adams Park.
The new service, Wycombe Wanderers One, will start running on 22nd February when the Wanderers play at home to Chesterfield.
Two buses will provide links to the ground from High Wycombe Rail Station, the Eden Bus Station and Cressex Park & Ride to coincide with Saturday afternoon and weekday evening matches. Buses will run back to the same locations after the matches.
Arriva's Regional Publicity Manager, Richard Lewis, said "We are delighted to be working in partnership with Wycombe Wanderers and we hope that the new service will be welcomed by supporters arriving by train or bus into High Wycombe.
"With a standard £2 single or £3 return fare the service will offer good value and will avoid parking problems near the ground. Those under 16 years of age and holders of English National Concessionary Passes will be able to use the service free of charge."
Wycombe Wanderers One is being provided on a trial basis and its continuation next season will depend on sufficient use being made of it, so Arriva and the football club hope that supporters visiting matches at Adams Park will find it to be a convenient and useful service.
