Getting to Tunbridge Wells Hospital by Arriva bus
Arriva runs a number of services which link the new Tunbridge Wells Hospital at Pembury with Tunbridge Wells town centre, Paddock Wood, Maidstone and Tonbridge.
From Tunbridge Wells town centre there is a choice of seven buses an hour during the main part of the day on Mondays to Saturdays:
- Services 6 and 6A run twice an hour, serving the hospital on the way to and from Paddock Wood, East Peckham, Nettlestead, Wateringbury, Teston, Barming and Maidstone
- Service 209 runs every twenty minutes, direct via Pembury Road
- Service 217 runs hourly direct via Pembury Road and Service 277 hourly via Sherwood, North Farm and Knights Park.
On Sundays, the hospital is linked to Tunbridge Wells six times an hour by Services 216, 277 and 278.
A special £2.50 return ticket is available at all times of day to the hospital from any stop along the line of route of Services 6, 6A, 209 and 217 between Tunbridge Wells, Old West Station, and the hospital..
From Tonbridge Services 208 and 209 run every fifteen minutes on Mondays to Fridays and three times an hour on Saturdays. The 209 runs direct via Pembury Road and the 208 also serves the Goldsmid Road area once an hour. In addition, Service 217 runs hourly on Mondays to Saturdays, direct via Pembury Road, with most buses linking onto the North Tonbridge services, 218/219, to provide direct links to the hospital from Trench Wood, Shipbourne Road, Willow Lea and Higham Wood.
On Sundays, the hospital is linked three times an hour with Tonbridge by Services 216, 277, and 278.
From Maidstone, Barming, Teston, Wateringbury, Nettlestead, East Peckham and Paddock Wood, Services 6 and 6A run twice an hour to the hospital on their way to and from Tunbridge Wells. Between Paddock Wood and the hospital, Service 6 runs hourly via Matfield, Kippings Cross, Bo-Peep Corner and Pembury village, while Service 6A runs via Badsell Road, Colts Hill and Maidstone Road to Pembury village. Service 208 provides an additional hourly service from East Peckham to the hospital via Tonbridge.

A new service, the 6X, provides a daily link between the Tunbridge Wells Hospital and Maidstone Hospital with buses every forty-five minutes for most of the day and half-hourly during the early morning and evening periods.
The 6X runs direct via the B2015 from Pembury via Colts Hill and the East Peckham by-pass to Nettlestead and then via Wateringbury, Teston and Barming to Maidstone Hospital, picking up at all stops along the route, except that it does not stop at the Hop Farm.
