Southend-on-Sea
Southend-on-Sea boasts the longest pleasure pier in the world. Its cafés and restaurants spill out onto the promenade and there's plenty to see and do for everyone.

I think that Southend Pier is one of our most cherished local landmarks. I enjoy walking along the pier, which is over 1 mile long, but there is also a train that runs its length that is equally fun. At the end of the pier there is a museum, gift shops and amusements arcade.

Adventure Island is a fantastic attraction and is suitable for all ages. Unlike most theme parks, admission is free and the entire park provides real value for money.
-
Kursaal is a state-of-the-art ten-pin bowling alley, there are themed bars and restaurants and it’s top of my list when we holiday in Southend each year.

Our family loves the Southend Sealife Centre. It’s the perfect venue for those drizzly days and there is always something new to discover.

I love 50 Six on London Road. It’s a modern venue that provides an ideal base for nights out with friends.
As well as the restaurant there is a stylish bar area and you are guaranteed to find a relaxed and funky atmosphere time after time.

Farthings Restaurant is a firm favourite of mine. It’s a traditional English restaurant serving generous portions and prices that won’t break the bank. I’ve been eating here for years and I have not been disappointed once.
