Bishop Auckland Zone plus 

Tickets are valid for travel in the Bishop Auckland area including Howden le Wear, Witton le Wear, Toft Hill, West Auckland (Copeland Road), Shildon, Eldon, Kirk Merrington (Vicarage), Spennymoor High Street (Cheapside), Byers Green and Willington (Wear Valley View).

* also valid for journeys on service 5 to and from Durham

Cramlington Zone

Tickets are valid for travel between Newcastle and Cramlington and within Cramlington area

Darlington Zones 

Darlington town tickets are valid within Morton Park, Great Burdon, Beaumont Hill, Faverdale Grange/West Park, Edgecombe Drive, Coniscliffe Road Waterworks, Blackwell Lane Ends, Blands Corner and Darlington Football Ground.

Darlington Borough tickets are valid within Heighington/Red House Farm, School Aycliffe/Hydro Polymers, Coatham Mundeville/Brafferton, Longnewton Reservoir, Durham Tees Valley Airport, Neasham, Hurworth Place (towards Northallerton), Blackwell Lane Ends, Blands Corner, Headlam Road End, Killerby Grange and Royal Oak.

Durham Zones

Durham City tickets are valid in the Durham City area including Framwellgate Moor, Pity Me, Arnison Centre, Brasside, Belmont, Sherburn Village, High Shincliffe, Cock O'The North, Broompark and Bearpark.

Brandon tickets are valid in the Durham City area (as above) and also in the Brandon area including Dere Park, Sawmills and Brandon.

Durham District tickets are valid within Chester le Street, Brasside, Belmont, High Pittington, Sherburn Hill, Sherburn Village, Sherburn House Hospital, Kelloe, Coxhoe, Croxdale, Dere Park, Scripton Gill, New Brancepeth, Ushaw Moor and Bearpark.

Durham County tickets are valid for travel on all services within the boundaries of County Durham. Durham County tickets can be used outside of County Durham if the journey from County Durham to outside the zone is a continuous, unbroken journey.

Morpeth Zone

The Morpeth Saver tickets will continue to be valid on services X14, X15, X18 and will now be available on the services 2, 14, 33, 35, 38 and 44a within Morpeth/ Pegswood/ Lancaster Park/ Stobhill allowing you to connect to services to Newcastle.

Redcar Zone

Tickets are valid throughout Redcar. The boundary points are Dormanstown Fleet, Kirkleatham Upleatham Road End.

Rothbury Saver

Tickets are valid on services between Newcastle - Morpeth - Rothbury and Thropton 

Teesside Zone

Tickets are valid throughout the Middlesbrough and Stockton areas. The boundary points for these tickets are Durham Tees Valley Airport, Thorpe Larches, Bishopton, Nunthorpe Village, Flatts Lane End, South Lackenby and Grangetown (Cresswell Road).

Teesside and East Cleveland Zone

Tickets are valid throughout Middlesbrough, Stockton, Redcar, Saltburn, Skelton, Loftus, Guisborough and Great Ayton. The boundary points for this ticket are Runswick Bay, Scaling Dam, Stokesley High Street, Durham Tees Valley Airport, Bishopton, and Thorpe Larches.

These tickets are valid for travel anywhere in the North East region on most Arriva services. Day tickets are not valid on services X60, X61 or Moorsbus services

Commuter Tickets

Quorum Commuter tickets are valid between Newcastle Haymarket and Quorum Business Park

Cobalt Commuter tickets are valid between Newcastle Haymarket and Cobalt Business Park

X40 Savers

New X40 savers available from Tuesday 2 April 2013

The tickets are available to buy direct from your driver on the X40 service and can also be used on the 46 service after 18.30hrs Monday to Saturday and all day Sunday/Bank holidays.

Northumberland tickets

There are two tickets available for travellers in the North Northumberland area; Passport Weekly and Discover Day. The two tickets are valid on all journeys between Alnwick and Berwick on X15 and X18, Alnwick to Amble on X65 and anywhere on the 472 route.

Easyrider tickets

Easyriders are go-as-you-please bus tickets. They are valid for travel on any Arriva or Stagecoach bus in the zones shown on the map: plus Stokesley, Great Ayton, Hutton

Easyrider tickets

Easyriders and Teesside Tripper are go-as-you-please bus tickets. They are valid for travel on any Arriva or Stagecoach bus in the zones shown on the map: plus Stokesley, Great Ayton, Hutton Rudby and Hinderwell. They can also be used on any council-subsidised Borough or Hartlepool bus.
If you want to travel outside of the Easyrider and Teesside Tripper Boundary, simply show your Easyrider or Teesside Tripper ticket when you board and pay the difference to travel from the boundary to your destination. 

Easyrider and Teesside Tripper tickets can be bought in any Arriva or Stagecoach Travel Shop in the Teesside & East Cleveland area or onboard any Arriva or Stagecoach bus in the same area.

Teesside Tripper tickets 

Explorer tickets - prices valid from 8th May 2011

Explorer Tickets are the only regionwide integrated public transport ticket. From the Scottish Borders throughout Northumberland, Tyne and Wear, County Durham, Teesside and North Yorkshire the Explorer North East ticket gives you the freedom to plan your days out.

Valid on most bus services throughout the region including Arriva North East, Go North East and Stagecoach North East as well as the Tyne and Wear Metro and Shields Ferry. Tickets are available from bus drivers. 

Explorer tickets are not valid on Arriva services X60, X61, Moorsbus services and Go North East Nightbuses

Terms of travel

• Saver tickets can be used on any Arriva North East buses within the given zones except services X60, X61 and Moorsbus services. 
• Children under 5 travel free with Arriva. Child fares conditions vary from area to area as follows:
  
• Cleveland
  Children under 5 years of age are carried free, providing they do not occupy a seat and are accompanied by a fare-paying passenger or a pass holder. Up to three children under 5 years of age may travel free with any passenger. Any more than three children under 5 years should be charged a discounted fare. There is no limit to the number of under-5s that may accompany an adult fare paying passenger or pass holder on Boroughbus services. Children aged 5 and under 16 are charged a discounted fare wholly within the Cleveland area. Discounted fare on cross-boundary journeys, i.e. to points beyond the Cleveland boundary, are available only to children aged 5 and under 14.
  
• County Durham
  Children under 5 years of age are carried free, providing they do not occupy a seat and are accompanied by a fare-paying passenger or a pass holder. Up to three children under 5 years of age may travel free with any passenger. Any more than three children under 5 years should be charged a discounted fare. Children aged 5 and under 14 are charged a discounted fare for any journey starting or finishing in County Durham.
  
• Darlington Borough
  Within the Darlington Borough boundary children aged 5 and under 16 are charged a discounted fare. Please note that for any through-journey crossing the boundary from Darlington into Durham, Cleveland, Tyne and Wear or North Yorkshire the age limit is aged 5 to under 14.
  
• North Yorkshire
  Children under 5 years of age are carried free, providing they do not occupy a seat and are accompanied by a fare-paying passenger or a pass holder. Up to two children under 5 years of age may travel free with any passenger. Any more than two children under 5 years should be charged a discounted fare. Children aged 5 and under 14 are charged a discounted fare for any journey starting or finishing in North Yorkshire. The age limit for tendered services is 5 and under 16.
  
• Tyne & Wear
  Children aged 5 and under 14 are charged a discounted fare for any journey starting or finishing in Tyne and Wear.
  
  Tyne and Wear child fares are subsidised before 1900 hours on Monday to Friday and at all time during August. During these periods children aged 5 and 'under 16 card' may travel for 60p single or 110p Day Tkt. Outside these periods 80p single or 100p Transfare will apply

  On cross-boundary journeys the appropriate fare should be paid to the Tyne and Wear boundary and then discounted fare from the boundary point (children aged 5 and under 16).

  Northumberland
  Children under 5 years of age are carried free, providing they do not occupy a seat and are accompanied by a fare-paying passenger or a pass holder. Up to three children under 5 years of age may travel free with any passenger. Any more than three children under 5 years should be charged a discounted fare. Children aged 5 and under 14 are charged at a discounted fare.
  
• Cumbria
  Children under 5 years of age are carried free, providing they do not occupy a seat and are accompanied by a fare-paying passenger or a pass holder. Up to three children under 5 years of age may travel free with any passenger. Any more than three children under 5 years should be charged half adult fare. Children aged 5 and under 16 are charged a discounted fare for any journey within Cumbria.
  
• Family tickets are for a group of 5 consisting of up to 2 adults and up to 3 children.
