Nantwich
Nantwich itself is arguably Nantwich's greatest attraction, with its large collection of listed buildings located in 94 acres of conservation area. Fire swept the town in 1583, but several of the late-medieval buildings have survived and accompany the beautiful timber-framed houses built in Tudor times to replace those destroyed in the fire. The town also has other attractions to interest the day visitor.

Nantwich has been on the canal sytem since the opening of the Chester Canal in 1779, and is the oldest part of the Shropshire Union Canal. From the marina you can hire a boat for the day or enjoy a longer boating holiday, or sit in the cafe and watch the boats go by.
