Change to services from Newcastle

 

Services 42/43 (evenings and Sundays)

In order to assist reliable timekeeping the routes of these services are being revised between South Newsham and Blyth. Service 42 will now run via Druridge Road, Newsham Road and Waterloo Road to/from Blyth and service 43 will instead run via Plessey Road and Union Street to/from Blyth with minor changes to running times as a result. New timetables are available.

Services 501/505 (early Monday to Saturday journey)

A new 0556 journey on route 501 will run from Alnwick to Belford serving Beadnell, Seahouses, North Sunderland, Bamburgh and Budle Bay. The journey is supported by Northumberland County Council and runs in place of their current 0629 Alnwick to Warenford/Belford direct journey in order to allow residents from the coast to connect to the 0657 service 505 at Belford to reach work and college in Morpeth and Newcastle earlier. The current winter timetable is otherwise unchanged and remains in force.

Service X6 (early Monday to Friday journey)

To assist reliable arrival at Newcastle the first weekday journey from Blyth will now leave at 0555 and run to slightly revised timings to Newcastle arriving at 0652 (Saturday journeys will still leave Blyth at 0600 and arrive Newcastle 0647). This change and the changes to the 42/43 evening and Sunday journeys are shown in a new issue of the X1 to X6 timetable available on bus, at our Travel Shops and normal outlets en route.
